No story is too broken for God to Redeem.
My Vision
So many of us feel like we are too far gone—that we've run out of time and that our mistakes weigh heavily on our everyday lives. But God loves to take the biggest messes and turn them into something beautiful. It's where He does His best work.
When you are deep in a trial or dealing with the consequences of bad decisions, it's easy to feel like there is no redemption for you and that you are completely alone. But in your darkest moments, God is right there with you, still writing your story and shaping you into exactly who you are meant to be.
My vision is to create a space where people can be reminded of that. God has placed a beautiful vision on my heart: to spend time with His people, sing songs of worship in His presence, and pour out His message of hope, redemption, and restoration. In His presence, there is healing. It is not too late for you. He is still writing your story.
"...to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair."
Isaiah 61:3
My Story
My life doesn't look anything like I expected it to, but if I could go back and tell 10-year-old Hallie how far we've come, I think she would jump for joy.
Growing up, all I wanted was to be a famous singer. Every night, that's exactly how I ended my journal entry: "I'm going to be a famous singer one day!" I was obsessed with the idea. Looking back, I realize what I was really chasing was peace and security. I wanted to have value and purpose. I didn't like myself, and I believed the only way I could find worth was by becoming rich and famous.
I never did become a famous singer. Instead, substance abuse took hold of my life at the age of 11 and consumed my childhood, my teenage years, and my early twenties. Depression, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts became a way of life for me, eventually leading to an attempt to take my own life. There were years when I lived this way, convinced I would never make it out.
Fast forward to today: I live on a peaceful two-acre property in a small country town in South Carolina with the love of my life, Ryan, and our beautiful daughter, Ellie. So now, on the nights when it's just Ryan, Ellie, and me—watching a movie, playing with our animals, or going on little adventures together—I feel like I'm living a dream. Simply being a happy, sober wife and mom makes me feel like a walking miracle.
The craziest part? I don't have any regrets, and I wouldn't change a thing. Every bad choice I made and every trial I walked through shaped me into exactly who God was calling me to be. He restored me when I was certain I was too far gone.
Now I feel deeply compelled to tell others about how big our God is and the miracles He can do in our lives. I know that if He can do it for me, He can do it for you.
